Sultanpur National Bird Sanctuary, Travel From Delhi!

Early last month the Sultanpur National Bird Sanctuary was reopened to the public. Birds such as Sarus, black necked sarus and painted stork, as well as Siberian and European migratory birds such as the Eurasian teal, common teal, pintail, coot, shovellor and white eye pochard are found in the park now. Besides that there are more than 140 species of other commonly found birds, too.

The Sultanpur National Bird Sanctuary is located in Haryana district, and is easily approachable from New Delhi, Gurgaon, Faridabad and Noida. Bird watchers and nature enthusiasts come here mostly in the winters when they can see many migratory birds. To make things easier, the government has built watch towers at various points. Many tall plants and trees have been built to facilitate bird nesting.
