The annual Camel Fair is Pushkar claim to fame. This small city of Rajasthan hosts many visitors – domestic and foreign – during the event. The most common accommodation type for tourists is the tent. Depending on your budget, you can find luxury and economy ones.

Each camp may host anywhere between 20 to 200 tents, offering food, water, room service and many cultural and art performances. The tents come with sleeping and dressing areas, writing desks, bathrooms and showers. You can relax on the teak loungers placed in the relaxation areas. Most camps also provide facilities such as internet access, doctor-on-call and laundry. You can enjoy musicals, puppet shows, campfires and gypsy dances.

The food prepared is authentic Indian. The chefs will be eager to give you a tip or two to tweak your own dishes back home. Street food, snacks and knick-knacks are also available.
